Deaccessioned from the Brooklyn Museum of Art, New York with original acquisition tag with accession numbers.  This tunic was worn by Charles Ferdinand Henry.  He was elected to the regiment on December 5, 1887, made Corporal in 1892 and Sargent in 1894.  He was non-active June 3, 1895 and died on July 28, 1896.  

This tunic is all original and dates to 1889.  The Corporal stripes were added in 1892 or 1893.  

The material is blue broadcloth with red band collar and white looped braided soutache.  White on red chevrons with a service stripe on each sleeve.  Two outside welted pockets and two inner pockets.  Triple row of silver ball buttons across the center front of the chest.  Waist length with small peplum back.  Black quilted and padded lining.  A label in the interior pocket reads:  Hughes & Muller Philadelphia, signed C.F. Henry 3/89 4694

We ship domestically and internationally.  Fixed shipping charges apply.  All textile shipments are packed with acid free tissue paper.  Insurance is required on all shipments and is included into the shipping fee.

Returns

The item must be returned in the same condition as it was sent in.  Buyer is responsible for shipping charges.
